ANTIVIRUS FIREWALL SOFTWARE Today there is on average one computer in every household. then there are many households I am sure have multiple computers in the home. Almost everything that you want out of your personal life can be handled across the Internet from paying your bills, tracking your investments, scheduling appointments and vitually managing your life. This technology allows much to be done by you, as well as by those dreaded viruses, Trojans, and worms. A good antivirus firewall software is an absolute must and can help stop these attacks. If your computer is missing antivirus firewall software protection then read this article. I feel every computer in your household needs an antivirus firewall software having experienced an attack several years ago. There are literally thousands upon thousands of hackers out there with their sole purpose in life to data mine, capture and collect your personal information off your computer or as you work across the Internet. Data mining can allow your keystrokes to be read, so anything you enter is known such as credit card numbers, passwords, account numbers, and the like. Every keystroke is recorded and used when you least expect it. Downloading unknown programs, free products and what you may feel is good stuff, just may not be so good. The hackers program viruses into innocent programs or files that you may download onto your computer for extraction of information. Just as a virus will attack your immune system, a virus on a computer is essential the same attacking you cpu. Take the needed action to protect your computer system. The best thing you can do for yourself is to have a firewall up and running at all times, along with a good antivirus software. The firewall comes built-in on most computers (Mac or PC), is there for a reason and is the most common defense in Internet security. The firewall will protect your system against data loss, computer corruption and hacker invasion. Firewalls come in the forms of hardware or software. Examples of hardware that carry firewalls include LinkSys, D-Link, and Netgear. Examples of firewalls in software include Norton Internet Security, Intego, CheckPoint, and Windows XP. The software will work by watching incoming and outgoing information for malicious software (known as malware). There are usually alerts to let you know of the attacks with options to accept or deny the traffic. Hardware firewalls work a little differently. This is an added layer of safety because the hardware keeps the devices separate from each other. All attacks are stopped before even touching your computer system. Antivirus programs work similarly to the firewall. I would suggest not to opt for the free versions and think for a moment you have full protection. Spend the money for a quality protect to assure yourself of any risk against a virus that can turn real ugly, real fast. While the worms and viruses replicate and disseminate amongst your files, folders, and programs the antivirus programs have the ability to stop them dead in their tracks. You have an option of either deleting them altogether or having the viruses quarantined. The programs constantly scan the computer systems to alleviate the attacks. Since change is rampant and rapid when it comes to viruses, it is extremely important to keep the antivirus program up to date. A good anti virus programs works. You can be doing the most innocent of things on the internet and all od a sudden your anti virus programs pops open a window and says your system was under attack, but the program prevented the attack from occuring. The best antivirus programs available include the Norton, Zoom and Integer brands. Reviews dictate four to five out of five stars. These reviews laud the efficiency and ease of use of the programs. LinkSys and Netgear are reviewed to be two of the best in firewall hardware. To protect you and your family from things such as identity theft or bank account depletion, make sure you are armed against the robbers. To protect your computer from a non friendly, rapid attack have your protection in place. Have a firewall and antivirus program installed on your computer to keep your information yours and not allow it to become some else’s property. Imagine how horrible it would be if your system was penetrated, all your information was captured and your computer was left for dead. Anti virus firewall software is well worth the purchase price for the best protection.
