Best Video Sports Games for 2008

We have played them all and now bring to you what our opinion is for the best sport related games for 2008. any sports fan will appreciate all of these games. This is not in any order of preference, it is just a list of the games we fell in love with this past year. Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip for the Nintendo Wii
Available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and the Nintendo Wii. The Shaun White snowboarding video game takes you off the couch and onto the slopes, regardless of the weather outside. The snowboarding experience becomes a reality when you hook up this virtual game with the Nintendo Wii and the Wii Fit balance board. Unlike the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of this virtual experience, Shaun White Snowboarding for the Nintendo Wii is all about simple downhill racing which any skill level can get involved with. Using the wii controls you can pull off a myriad of tricks with the Nunchuk, Wii remote and Balance Board as you glide down the virtual slopes. The downhill snowboarding experience becomes a reality as you experience the jumps, moguls and turns. If you have snowboard before you will relate quicklt to how realistic this is. If you have never boarded before, you will quickly see how much fun and excitement you are missing. You will even enjoy the soundtrack as you race down the slopes since the tunes are all top notch. Available for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. There are so many basketball games to choose from, but 2K Sports' NBA games continue to always come out on the top of the list, second to none. NBA 2K9's presentation looks better than ever, the game play continues to excite in every aspect. Slam-dunks, lay up shots, 3 pointers and great defense are all part of the exciting game play. The graphics and all the extras, both online and off, make this a very reasonable value and a game a true basketball fan will play for hours. You call the plays, direct the player and best of all, you can finally show the Lakers who's boss. Grab your favorite team and guide them to the playoffs. Once you get through the playoffs you can now coach your own NBA team to a championship. WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009
Available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and the Nintendo Wii. Now you can bash somebody with a steel chair to the face! Smash them into a table or over the ropes. Create total chaos in the ring with wrestlers being tossed all around the ring. WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 lets you do that and more with its huge roster of wrestlers, along with the ability to create your own. This year's game also includes new modes and match types, including The Road to Wrestlemania career mode, and the exciting Inferno
Match, where the goal is to throw your opponent into the ropes (which happen to be on fire). WWE excitement in the comforts of your living room that will not disappoint any WWE wrestling fan. So load up your favorite wrestler such as Undertaker, John Cena, Triple H or maybe an old favorite like The Rock and go to town banging heads with you opponents.
Madden NFL 09
Available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and the Nintendo Wii. The number one franchise of all time in the football video game wars. Madden has dominated the market and this game has dominated the football world year in and year out, and Madden NFL 09 continues this trend. By far Madden football is the all time best video football game on the market. This game is a blast to play, especially on the Wii where you really have to get into the action. A new family-friendly version for Nintendo Wii (called Madden All-Play 09) makes it easy for anyone to play, while the Xbox 360 and PS3 version have huge online options and fun game play. There is training available and the game will adjust so that a seasoned skill player can play on equal level as somebody new to the game. This feature, or handicap, makes it fair for all skill levels to compete. A must have game for the football enthusiast.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09
Available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and the Nintendo Wii. This is a one of a kind golf experience in the gaming world. Video game golf doesn't get better than this, and this golf game does not take a back seat to anybody. Every golfer will appreciate this game if you are playing it in the Nintendo Wii. The motions are just like those on a real golf course. In fact they are so real it is like a pracxtice round in your own livingroom. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 gives players a much more user-friendly control scheme. There are also a variety of courses and golfers available, along with a new simultaneous online mode where everyone can play at the same time. Get out your clubs, put on your shoes and get ready for
some great golf action regardless of the weather.
NHL 09
Available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PlayStation 2. The Stanley Cup has been decided and this battle was not even close. Our choice is the NHL 09 over the NHL 2K9 on every level. The game cleverly utilizes the controller's two analog sticks to make shots – a much more natural way to play. The online league options are terrific and the presentation is as good as hockey gets. Skate around the ice and take as many shots on goal as you can and get ready to rumble with your opponents. So grab one or two of these beauties and enjoy the hours of fun and play they will bring to you and your friends and family. |
